PRIVACY POLICY

Your trust in us is our most important asset. In order to protect that trust, we treat all personal information as confidential and safeguard it at all times. This is why we do not sell client lists or any other client information to outside companies.

This notice sets forth the details of our approach to privacy and lists the information we collect and in what instances we may disclose information to third parties.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect nonpublic personal information from you in the normal course of business as follows:

  • information we receive from you on applications, via our website, and through conversations with you, such as your name, social security number, and income;
  • information about your transactions with us, such as account balances; and
  • information received from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit history.

INFORMATION WE MAY SHARE WITH THIRD PARTIES

We do not share your nonpublic personal information with third parties for the purpose of marketing their products or services to you. We will disclose the information listed above to third party companies that perform services for us, such as data processors and credit card providers. By contract, these companies hold client information in the strictest confidence and do not use the information for any reason other than for the particular purpose contracted. We may also share nonpublic personal information with third parties as required by law, e.g. in response to a subpoena. (We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our former clients to anyone, except as required by law.)

INFORMATION SHARED WITH AFFILIATES

First Private Bank of Texas may disclose nonpublic personal information received from you with its holding company, First Private Holdings, Inc., and vice versa.

PRIVACY PREFERENCE

You have the right to restrict some of the information we disclose among our affiliates. You may direct us not to share certain nonpublic personal information other than disclosures required by law.

If you wish to opt out of disclosures between our affliates you may communicate your decision by:

  • calling us at 972-348-6100 or toll free at 1-877-466-1466, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. central time;
  • writing us at First Private Bank, 8201 Preston Road, Suite 200, Dallas, Texas 75225; or
  • visiting our office in person.

Please be sure to provide us with your full name, address, telephone number, and social security number. Your request will be processed within a reasonable period of time.

If you are a joint account holder or guarantor on an account, we will assume your request applies only to your information unless you inform us otherwise. If you want to restrict information we share on behalf of a joint account holder or guarantor, please provide that person's full name, address, telephone number, and social security number.

SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know the information in order to provide products and services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

CLIENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: when you open an account, we are required to ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also be required to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.

KEEPING YOU INFORMED

We will provide you with our privacy notice on an annual basis. If we change our practices for sharing information, we will send you a revised notice.

COMPLAINTS

First Private Bank of Texas is chartered under the laws of the State of Texas and by state law is subject to regulatory oversight by the Texas Department of Banking. Any consumer wishing to file a complaint concerning First Private Bank of Texas’ sale of checks activities and/or any other complaint against First Private Bank should contact the Texas Department of Banking through one of the means indicated below:
